Dubai, 30 April 2012: Schneider Electric India received the Golden Peacock Award for corporate social responsibility (GPACSR) for the year 2012. The award in recognition of the Schneider Electric corporate social responsibility initiatives in the areas of village electrification, electrician training, employment and entrepreneurship was Schneider Electric India by h.e Mr. Juma Al Majid, Chairman of the Dubai Economic Council & founder of Chairman Juma Al Majid Group on 25 April 2012 in Dubai global Convention 2012 presented.
The Golden Peacock Awards, initiated by the Institute of Directors, be in different categories awarded annually. The winners of Golden Peacock awards for 2012 were judged by a panel of 4 completed including Dr Ola Ullsten, former Prime Minister of Sweden; Lt. Gen Surinder Nath, PVSM, AVSM (i.r.) former Vice Chief of Indian army & former Chairman, Union Public Service Commission; Justice P N Bhagwati, former Chief Justice, Supreme Court of India; and Dr. A N Saksena, former financial advisor, Ministry of petroleum & natural gas.
Schneider Electric received this award for its initiatives in the field of corporate social responsibility, that culture are the core of the strategy and Schneider Electric. In addition to the be a global specialist in energy management, Schneider Electric offers energy efficiency solutions where needed and success of the company in the field of sustainable development are a real and substantial opportunity for mobilisation, growth and differentiation.
The Golden Peacock Award for corporate social responsibility has taken has been to accelerate oriented improvement processes for the promotion of international organisations of stakeholders. It is a year and calls the strategy and philosophy for various initiatives by companies, which together with the evaluation strategy for existing initiatives their triple-bottom-line performance critical detail. At the end of the evaluator list organizations, who are then invited to brief public presentations, highlighting their key initiatives and achievements in this area and the response to any clarifications required by the last independent jury, before the winners are announced.
